Proud Sponsors of the Coolest Coast
The Coolest Coast is a comprehensive guide for visitors and new residents, offering a wealth of information about places to visit, activities to enjoy, dining options, and attractions to explore. It also serves as a valuable resource for business opportunities, job listings, and other essential information to help newcomers and locals make the most of their experience.
The Just Scholarship Program
Youth Apprenticeship
High school juniors and seniors have the chance to gain exposure and experience in fields of work they are interested in through Youth Apprenticeship. These students work side by side with our staff, completing tasks and learning about the field of orthodontics.
Project Linus
Project Linus is a non-profit organization that provides homemade blankets to children in need.
Taking On Bullying with EOB
Community service is a cornerstone of the Just Orthodontics family, and Dr. Jeff Just has carried this torch forward for generations. Because of this strong community focus, when the issue of bullying was raised in conversation in the spring of 2013, a nerve was struck. The spark that the conversation ignited turned into “EOB,” a short film about the problem of bullying.
Filmed by a professional production company during the summer of 2013, featuring over 80 local actors, and shot entirely in Manitowoc, “EOB” is the fictional story of Elizabeth Octavia Baxter, the young victim of extremely harsh bullying.
According to Dr. Just, “The reason we did it is because we see the problem every single day. Children come into our practice each day unwilling to smile because they are embarrassed and teased daily. We see the amazing transformation orthodontic treatment has on a child’s self-confidence and the perception of themselves yet we feel helpless in addressing the real problem – the bully. Attached to the smile is a human being, still in pain.”
